We're posting a series of videos from the 2012 Chicago SummerDance Festival evening of Thursday, August 10, 2012, where Paul Collins, of Ethnic Dance Chicago, facilitated hundreds of people through an evening of popular dances from the 1950's and 1960's that included:

• Madison Time
• The Twist
• The Roach
• Reggae Cowboy (Respect)
• Pata Pata
• Cha Cha Cha
• Damat Halayi (Turkish)
• The Electric Slide

Chicago SummerDance is the largest FREE festival of its kind and is produced by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), in partnership with the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture. Additional support provided by Chicago Park District, Chicago Police Department -1st District, 2nd Ward Aldermanic Office, Ald. Robert Fioretti, Chicago Department of Transportation and the Chicago Department of General Services. Main SummerDance events are held in the Spirit of Music Garden in Grant Park, Michigan Ave & Balbo Dr, 601 S Michigan Ave, Chicago IL 60605 USA.

The 17th Annual 2013 Chicago SummerDance Festival runs on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays (6:0pm-9:30pm) and Sundays (4:00pm-7:00pm), from June 27 through September 15, 2013.
